How We Decide Our Registered Names
Many of our buyers and others in the sport of conformation ask
“How did you decide what your registered name will be?”
There are numerous ways to decide what to use.
It can be anything you like:
a song, a movie, an actor, a place that is special, a combination of the sire and dam.
Endless possibilities
The only thing we require is that it carries the Bark Bark kennel name at the beginning of their name
And we have always named ours as
a name to use in ads when campaigning a dog.
Here are ours and some of our show and pet families names
SARGE
Sarge was our first show dog.
His sire’s name was Rowdy, the breeders wanted us to include a C letter word, since this was their third litter.
We wanted something military so we decided
Glacier’s N Rowdy’s Czargent Trouble
JORDAN
Jordan was a combination of 3 breeders for our name.
His breeders kennels were Cot' N Pic' N & Polar Mist
His sire was from White Magic and was named Cruise
So we named him Cot N Pic N Polar Mist Magic Cruiser
NIKE
Nike was our first female and our foundation bitch
Her sire was Polar Mist Here Comes Trouble, her dam was Polar Mist Good Time Girl "Goodie"
So we decided on Polar Mist Here Comes Lil Goody Two Shoes
(Adam Ant song)
REBA
We enjoy Country & Western music in
our household
Reba's sire is behind many pedigrees, his name was White Magic's Rock Star
So we named Reba
White Magic's Little Rock
SEMPER FI
Semper was our very first home bred dog. We started to use our kennel name BARK BARK
Being a military family we chose
Bark Bark's Freedom Isn't Free
FORD
We are Ford people here
This was a no brainer
This will be explained more with another dog we named.
Polar Mist N Bark Bark's Built Tough
MEMPHIS
Another country song theme from the group Lonestar that was originally sung by Marc Cohen
Bark Bark's Walking In Memphis
NO NO
Ok, what to do with this?
Her breeder had been calling her this so we wanted to continue it
There was a 1919 play that then was filmed in 1940….
Snowater N Bark Bark's No No Nanette
CUERVO
No, this was not because it is our drink of choice
Country song Joe Nichols
Bark Bark's Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off
